Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This policy explains how Pebble (“we”, “our”, or “the App”), developed for iOS by PPMB, handles your information. A habit journal is a private thing, and the app is built so that it stays private by construction rather than by promise.

2. Data Collection & Analytics

Pebble collects no personal information. Specifically:

• No accounts. There is no sign-up, sign-in, email address or user profile of any kind.
• No servers. The app makes no network requests. It has no backend to send anything to.
• No third-party SDKs. No analytics libraries, no advertising networks, no crash reporters.
• No tracking. Pebble does not track you across apps or websites. Its Apple privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking: false and an empty NSPrivacyCollectedDataTypes.

3. Apple Privacy Manifest (iOS 17+)

Pebble ships a native PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest declaring every required-reason API it uses:

• User Defaults (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults, reason CA92.1): used only to store your own preferences — theme choice and notification toggles — inside the app’s private container. Nothing is read from or written to any shared or system-wide store.

4. Where your data lives

Your rituals, daily logs and weekly reflections are stored on your device in a sandboxed App Group container (group.com.benoit.pebble), shared only between Pebble and its own Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets so that a widget can show today’s rituals and record one you keep.

Pebble has no iCloud sync, no CloudKit container and no export to any service. PPMB cannot access your data, because there is no mechanism by which it could reach us.

5. Notifications

Pebble can show a morning prompt, an evening review, and an optional reminder for individual rituals. These are local notifications scheduled by the app on your device. They are never push notifications, so no device token is generated and nothing is sent through Apple’s or our servers. You are asked for permission before any are scheduled, and you can turn them off at any time in Settings.

6. Pricing

Pebble is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions and no paywall — every feature is included, and the app contains no StoreKit code at all.

7. Your data, your control

• Export: Settings → Data → Export Pebble Data (JSON) writes a complete file — every ritual, every daily log and every reflection — wherever you choose to save it.
• Delete: deleting a ritual removes its history with it.
• Delete everything: uninstalling Pebble permanently removes the app’s container and everything in it. Because nothing was ever copied off the device, that is the end of it.

8. Children’s privacy

Pebble does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. It collects nothing from anybody, so there is nothing to disclose.

9. Changes to this policy

If the app ever gains a capability that changes any of the above — sync, for instance — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the effective date will change with it.
